Yangquan Valve Co., Ltd. was established in 1924, became a public-private partnership in 1955, and in 1965 was designated by the state as a fixed-point manufacturer of low-pressure large-diameter valves. In 1994, it was restructured into a state-controlled joint-stock company and in 2021 relocated from the city to the Tuolingtou Park C Platform in Yangquan High-tech Zone. The company mainly engages in the research, development, manufacture, and marketing of more than ten categories of valves, including gate valves, butterfly valves, check valves, and non-standard valves, with 120 series and over 1,000 specifications and varieties. Its leading products, gas valves and hard-seal butterfly valves, consistently rank among the top three in domestic market share. The company is recognized as a National Specialized and Innovative Little Giant, a National High-Tech Enterprise, and a key enterprise in the municipal equipment manufacturing industry chain. Its registered trademark, "Yang," is a well-known trademark in Shanxi Province. In 2025, it won the Gold Award in the "My Favorite Shanxi Trademark Brand" TV competition.

The company has applied for 94 patents and has obtained 78 patents. Its products have passed the national ISO9001 Quality Management System certification, ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification, and ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certification. It has taken the lead in participating in the formulation and revision of three national standards and three group standards. Its products have also obtained EU CE and Russian EAC certifications and are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, coking, hydropower, chemical, refractory, and wastewater treatment.
