The nozzle-flapper intelligent valve positioner is a device that operates based on the principle of force balance. Its structure primarily consists of a nozzle, a flapper, and corresponding components that together form an I/P converter. When changes occur in the input signal or the force acting on the media fluid, the magnetoelectric component force inside the positioner becomes unbalanced with the force generated by the feedback loop due to changes in the valve stem position. This imbalance causes changes in the air supply output pressure of the positioner through the action of the nozzle and flapper, further driving the movement of the actuator. This results in the valve stem positioning itself to a new location that corresponds to the input signal, achieving a new state of balance.
