The structural forms of the valve body for gate valves include straight-through, angle, and direct current types. The straight-through type is the most common structure, but it has high fluid resistance. The direct current type has lower fluid resistance and is often used for fluids containing solid particles or with high viscosity. The angle type valve body is usually made by forging and is suitable for gate valves with smaller diameters and higher pressures.
