Commonly known as Pressure Seal Gate Valve, it is a gate valve specifically designed for high-temperature and high-pressure applications. Its core feature is that the tighter the valve cover seal becomes as the medium pressure increases, thus completely solving the problem of high-pressure external leakage in ordinary bolted valve covers.
Electric gate valves belong to the category of shut-off valves, consisting of a gate valve body and an electric actuator. They rely on electric power to drive the gate plate up and down, thereby controlling the on/off of the pipeline.
1. Principle
An electric control signal drives the motor to operate, which, through a speed reduction mechanism, drives the stem and gate plate to move up and down. When the gate plate rises, the pipeline is connected; when it falls, it closes to cut off the medium. The actuator has built-in travel limit and torque protection, automatically stopping when in position, and providing power disconnection protection for the valve in case of jamming or overload. After power failure, the handwheel can be used for manual operation.
2. Main Features
It can be remotely controlled via central control, facilitating automated centralized management of pipelines. When fully open, the valve provides a straight-through channel with minimal fluid resistance. It only has full-open and full-close functions and cannot be used for throttling or flow regulation. It is divided into ordinary flange gate valves (for medium and low-pressure water supply, drainage, and gas) and pressure self-sealing gate valves (for high-temperature and high-pressure power plant steam and chemical hydrogenation). For flammable and explosive scenarios, explosion-proof models are available.
