The Globe Valve is a linear motion valve primarily designed for throttling, regulating, and isolating​ flow. Unlike gate valves that provide a straight-through path, globe valves feature a baffle (partition) inside the body that forces the media to change direction twice, creating an "S" flow pattern. While this results in higher pressure drop, it offers superior control accuracy, tighter sealing, and better pressure-handling capabilities, making it the preferred choice for manual fine-tuning and precise flow regulation.
