WENZHOU YINGFEI APPLICATION ENGINEERING PLASTICS CO., LTD
Product Features: PCTFE
Detailed Introduction
Polychlorotrifluoroethylene, abbreviated as PCTFE, is a high-molecular polymer synthesized through the polymerization of chlorotrifluoroethylene. Its solid density is 2.1~2.2 g/cm³, with a melting point of 208~210°C. It is resistant to heat, acids, and alkalis (excluding halides), but is not resistant to molten caustic alkalis or elemental fluorine. Its chemical resistance is second only to polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The tensile strength is 3.096~4.135 MPa (316~422 kgf/cm²). It is generally used in chemical equipment with high performance requirements, insulated cables, radio equipment, capacitors, and components requiring heat resistance or low-temperature tolerance.
PCTFE is suitable for sealing applications involving strong corrosive media and high-pressure systems, giving it particular significance in the chemical and atomic energy industries. However, its price is higher than that of PTFE.
PCTFE exhibits excellent rigidity, low-temperature performance, and cold flow resistance, making it an ideal sealing material for low-temperature, high-pressure applications. It has special application in high-tech fields.
Applications:
In valve sealing, PCTFE is primarily used for applications involving contact with strong corrosive media, high pressure, and low-temperature sealing.
