POM
Categories: Valve Accessories
Exhibitor Information
WENZHOU YINGFEI APPLICATION ENGINEERING PLASTICS CO., LTD
Product Features: POM (Polyoxymethylene)
Detailed Introduction
Polyoxymethylene (abbreviated as POM), also known as Acetal or Delrin, is a polymer synthesized from formaldehyde and other raw materials. POM-H (Polyoxymethylene Homopolymer) and POM-C (Polyoxymethylene Copolymer) are high-density, high-crystallinity thermoplastic engineering plastics. They possess excellent physical, mechanical, and chemical properties, with particularly outstanding friction resistance.
POM is a high-density crystalline polymer without side chains, exhibiting exceptional comprehensive performance.
POM is a hard, dense material with a smooth, glossy surface, available in light yellow, white, or black. It can be used long-term within a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C. Its wear resistance and self-lubricating properties are superior to most engineering plastics, and it also offers good resistance to oils and peroxides. However, it is highly sensitive to acids, strong alkalis, and UV radiation. It is primarily used in high-pressure applications.
