JIS10K 2PC standard flanged ball valve is a common type of industrial valve.
1. Basic Structure
2PC: The valve body is composed of two parts (Two-Piece Construction) and is connected by bolts, making it easy to disassemble and maintain.
Flange connection: The valve body has flanges at both ends, in accordance with national standards (such as GB/T 9119). It is fixed to the pipeline flange with bolts, providing excellent sealing performance and facilitating installation.
Sphere: The core component is a rotating sphere with a through-hole in the middle. It can control the flow of medium by rotating 90 degrees.
2. Working Principle
The valve stem is driven by the handle or the actuating mechanism, causing the ball to rotate.
Start: Align the through-hole of the sphere with the pipeline, and the medium will flow through.
Closing: The sphere rotates 90 degrees, the through-hole is perpendicular to the pipeline, and the medium is blocked.
3. Key Features
Excellent sealing performance: Commonly uses PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) soft seals, suitable for water, oil, gas and other media.
High pressure resistance: The nominal pressure is usually between PN1.0 and PN4.0 MPa (specifically as per the standard).
Temperature resistance range: -20℃ to 180℃ (depending on the sealing material).
Low flow resistance: The full-diameter design results in almost no pressure loss.
5. Application Fields
Oil, chemical, water treatment, pharmaceutical, food industries, etc.
Suitable for clean or slightly particulate liquid and gas media.
6. Advantages
The structure is simple and the operation is flexible (the switch only needs to be rotated by 90 degrees).
Easy for maintenance (the two-piece design allows for on-site disassembly).
Long lifespan and stable sealing performance.
7. Precautions
Not applicable for media containing hard particles or highly corrosive substances (unless specially designed).
