2PC threaded ball valve (Two-Piece Threaded Ball Valve) is a compact and easy-to-install valve. It adopts a two-piece design and is connected to the pipeline through threads (either internal or external threads). It is suitable for medium-sized diameter and medium-low pressure fluid control systems.
1. Basic Structure
2PC (Two-Body Type): The valve body is composed of two parts, connected by threads or bolts, making it easy to disassemble and maintain.
Threaded connection:
Internal Thread (Female Thread): Common types include NPT (American standard), BSPT (British standard conical pipe thread), and BSPP (British standard parallel thread).
External Thread (Male Thread): Can be directly connected to pipes or pipe fittings.
Sphere: Made of stainless steel (304/316) or carbon steel, the surface can be hardened to enhance wear resistance.
Valve seat seal: PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), PPL (enhanced polypropylene), or metal seal (for high-temperature and high-pressure conditions).
2. Working Principle
Operation: Rotate the handle or the actuating mechanism by 90°. The hole of the ball aligns with the pipeline, allowing the medium to flow.
Shut-off: Rotate the ball by 90°. The hole becomes perpendicular to the pipeline, cutting off the flow of the medium.
3. Key Features
Compact structure: Small in size, suitable for installation in space-constrained environments.
Easy installation: Threaded connection, no need for flanges, saving installation costs.
Reliable sealing: Soft seal (PTFE) with zero leakage, suitable for water, oil, gas and other media.
