Features
·Integrated design of valve body and valve seat, compact overall size.
·Upgraded material and durability: The valve body and disc are made of martensitic stainless steel. Hardness is greatly improved after heat treatment and aging treatment. It resists impact deformation under high temperature and high pressure, and has excellent wear resistance, greatly extending the overall service life of the steam trap.
·No steam-lock structure. Frequent valve opening ensures no condensate residue in steam equipment and guarantees steam quality.
·Tuned and polished isentropic structure for high flash steam velocity. It features low valve-closing differential pressure with a back pressure rate of over 80%.
Working Principle
Condensate Discharge Stage: When condensate flows through the valve seat at low flow velocity, the disc moves upward under inlet pressure, opening the valve seat passage for smooth condensate discharge.
Steam Shut-off Stage: When steam enters the valve seat, the steam velocity below the disc rises sharply while the velocity on top of the disc remains nearly zero. According to Bernoulli’s principle, a low-pressure zone forms beneath the disc due to high-speed flow. The static pressure above the disc exceeds the fluid dynamic pressure below. Driven by the pressure difference, the disc is pressed against the valve seat to close the passage and block steam leakage.
Reset & Opening Stage: After steam enters the pressure-variable chamber, it gradually cools down, continuously reducing the static pressure inside the valve cavity. When the static pressure drops below the designed threshold, the inlet pressure pushes the disc upward again. The steam trap reopens and starts the next condensate discharge cycle.
