Features
·High reliability and adaptability: As a high-reliability steam trap, it is widely applicable to steam transmission pipelines and tracing pipelines for efficient condensate drainage. The cast steel housing prevents shell cracking in cold low-temperature environments. The inverted bucket operates stably for a long time inside the cast steel body.
·Wear-resistant lever mechanism design: The unique lever mechanism amplifies the gravity of the inverted bucket to help open the disc against system differential pressure. The mechanism adopts a free-floating structure with no fixed pivot wear, extending service life.
·Anti-clogging and impurity discharge: The disc and valve seat are located at the top of the valve body to avoid dirt accumulation at the valve orifice. Fine impurities remain suspended inside the valve. When the inverted bucket sinks to open the orifice, impurities can be quickly discharged along with condensate under differential pressure. The 69 series comes with a built-in filter to further improve operational reliability.
·Steam loss prevention & air venting function: The discharge port is fully enclosed by the water seal of the U-shaped flow channel, effectively blocking live steam leakage. The inverted bucket is equipped with vent holes to continuously and automatically vent non-condensable gases such as air and carbon dioxide.
·Continuous drainage and water hammer resistance: Although the discharge action is intermittent, condensate can be drained continuously without water accumulation. It also features excellent water hammer resistance, suitable for complex working conditions.
Working Principle
This steam trap works based on the density difference between condensate and steam. The detailed cycle is as follows:
·Low-temperature condensate and non-condensable gas flow into the bucket through the U-shaped channel. When the bucket is filled with non-condensable gas, denser condensate overflows outside the bucket in the valve cavity. The bucket floats up to close the valve seat and opens the orifice to discharge condensate.
·The air vent on the upper part of the bucket discharges non-condensable gas. Low-temperature condensate gradually fills the bucket. The bucket loses buoyancy due to its own weight, and the lever torque overcomes differential pressure force to open the orifice and drain condensate.
·After condensate in the pipeline is drained, hot saturated steam re-enters the bucket. The bucket floats again and drives the bracket and valve core to close the valve seat, entering the next working cycle.
