The Russian Standard (GOST) Cast Iron Flanged Gate Valve is a gate valve manufactured in accordance with Russian GOST standards. The body is typically made of grey cast iron or ductile iron, with flanged ends. The closing element is a gate (wedge) that moves perpendicular to the flow direction to fully open or close the pipeline. It is suitable for on-off service only and not for throttling.
